China's domestic TDI price stood at RMB 40,833.33 per tonne on October 25, 2026, according to monitoring by SunSirs. Prices rose 9.38% over the preceding 10 days and 45.57% over 90 days, showing a substantial increase across both periods.
Despite those gains, the domestic market was described as maintaining a wait-and-see stance, with market conditions in East China remaining steady. The figures measure price changes over longer periods, while the regional assessment describes current market activity. A steady market tone therefore does not mean that the earlier price increases have reversed.

For businesses purchasing TDI, the immediate issue is the potential effect on procurement costs. Buyers placing new orders could face higher material costs than earlier in the reporting periods. The extent of that exposure would depend on their purchasing schedules, existing inventories and agreed contract prices; the monitored price alone does not establish what individual buyers are paying.
The combination of higher prices and a cautious trading atmosphere also calls for restraint in interpreting the rally. The reported increases establish the direction and scale of the price movement, but do not by themselves demonstrate stronger demand or a supply shortage.
Subsequent price readings and changes in market activity will help show whether the higher price level holds. For purchasing decisions, a key distinction is whether quoted prices translate into sustained transactions, since that would have a more direct bearing on replacement costs and procurement budgets.
