Eastman announced on October 31, 2026, that it will increase spot prices for its ester products in North and Latin America by $0.06 per pound ($0.13 per kilogram), effective November 1 or as contracts allow. The company cited raw material and operating cost pressures as the reason for the increase.

The increase could raise solvent purchasing costs for customers in coatings, inks, adhesives and industrial cleaning. Its effect on an individual buyer's budget will depend on the volume purchased and applicable contract terms, including when the increase takes effect.
The announcement applies to Eastman's ester spot prices; it does not establish how other suppliers will price their products or how much downstream customers will pass on to their own buyers. Those responses will shape the broader effect on supply-chain costs.
